Jonny Bairstow fields on his knees during IND vs. ENG in Rajkot; the photo gets viral.
During the third Test match between India and England at Rajkot’s Niranjan Shah Stadium, England cricketer Jonny Bairstow was seen kneeling. In response to the ball staying low, the England international knelt to attempt a low catch in case there was an edge. When Joe Root was facing Kuldeep Yadav at the middle of the bat, he attempted that move.

James Anderson, a skilled pacer, nevertheless completed the task by removing Kuldeep. Ben Foakes, the wicketkeeper, received the ball straight after the southpaw attempted to flick it but mistimed it. Shortly afterward, Ravindra Jadeja, who was dominating at the bat, dismissed Root after amassing 112 runs. Due to the unavailability of several important players, Jadeja moved up the lineup, and he lived up to the club’s faith in him.

On Day 1, India was down to 33/3 at one point, but Jadeja and captain Rohit Sharma combined for a vital 204 runs to rescue the home team. Debutant Sarfaraz Khan took matters into his own hands and played a forceful style of cricket after Rohit was dismissed for 131 runs. After miscommunicating with Jadeja, he scored 62 runs before being out of the game.

Mark Wood has emerged as England’s most prolific player thus far when it comes to the ball. On Day 2, he took three wickets, although he didn’t show much promise. There’s cause for concern since none of the bowlers for England have appeared dangerous. Ravichandran Ashwin and Dhruv Jurel looked comfortable in the middle, but Rehan Ahmed and Tom Hartley, the spin pair, had taken just one wicket between them thus far.

Since England hitters will be pleased with the Rajkot surface, India will be looking to score 500 runs. They anticipate playing with aggression, with English hitters and Indian bowlers anticipated to engage in strong competition.
