JioStar to air Delhi Premier League Season 2

JioStar and the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) have announced a historic three-year broadcast partnership for the Delhi Premier League (DPL) Season 2. The partnership will increase the reach and awareness of Delhi’s top T20 competition by providing cricket fans nationwide with continuous live coverage of the men’s and women’s tournaments.

The DPL’s increasing prominence and popularity—it has rapidly become a vital stage for local and national players to display their abilities—is reflected in the broadcast deal with JioStar. Fans will have effortless access to every DPL 2025 match because to its extensive digital presence and TV accessibility.

All games will air on Star Sports 2 Hindi and be live streamed on Jiostar as part of this partnership.

The DPL’s second season begins on August 2, 2025, at New Delhi’s famed Arun Jaitley Stadium with a thrilling first-round matchup between the South Delhi Superstarz and the reigning champion East Delhi Riders. Big names like Navdeep Saini, Anuj Rawat, Ayush Badoni, and Digvesh Rathi are expected to compete in the eagerly awaited match, which will set the tone for an entertaining season.

Eight men’s teams, divided into two groups, will compete in the Delhi Premier League Season 2. The West Delhi Lions, East Delhi Riders, South Delhi Superstarz, and Purani Dilli 6 will be in Group B, while the Outer Delhi Warriors, Central Delhi Kings, New Delhi Tigers, and North Delhi Strikers will be in Group A.

Ten league games will be played by each team, including one each against teams in the opposing group and one each against teams in their own group. With September 1 set aside as a backup, the top four teams advance to the playoffs, which will culminate in the final on August 31.

From August 17 to 24, four teams will compete in a round-robin format in the women’s competition. On August 24, the top two clubs from the league stage will move on to the championship game.

Notably, there will be seven matches overall in the women’s tournament, compared to 44 matches in the men’s tournament, including the league stage, playoffs, and final.

In addition to premier competition, this season’s Delhi Premier League will prioritise fan interaction, digital accessibility, and developing up-and-coming talent.
