Tim Seifert and Jake Fraser-McGurk of the Melbourne Renegades were dismissed by Jerrssis Wadia in the opening two deliveries of Match 38 of the 2025–26 Big Bash League.

Jerrssis Wadia finished with statistics of 2/11, giving up just three runs in the first over and eight in the second.
Adelaide Strikers won by eight wickets with 49 deliveries remaining, therefore the all-rounder was not needed to assist with the bat. Thanks to Tabraiz Shamsi’s four-wicket haul, the Renegades were dismissed for 99 in 16.5 overs.
No other tourist player, save Will Sutherland, was able to score more than 20 runs. Sutherland hit three sixes and two fours in his 28-ball 38. The Strikers crossed the finish line in the 12th over of the run chase thanks to hits from Chris Lynn (27* off 25) and Liam Scott (18* off 10). Shamsi’s bowling effort earned him the Player of the Match honour.
After suffering three straight losses, the Strikers won their first game. However, this was the Renegades’ ninth loss of the year. In the eight-team competition, Strikers and Renegades both had disappointing seasons, placing sixth and seventh, respectively.
