Before the Test series, Jasprit Bumrah makes fun of Bazball by saying, "I don't really understand it too much."

India’s pace leader Jasprit Bumrah recently discussed India’s impending Test series against England. According to Bumrah, playing in England is never easy. The 31-year-old claimed that because the Dukes balls are constantly changing, he was unaware of how they were acting. When the ball gets soft, he thought bowling would be difficult.

Then Jasprit Bumrah asserted that he does not comprehend the ‘Bazball’ method of batting, but he finds it intriguing. The Indian pacer went on to say that aggressive batsmen give bowlers confidence because they have a chance to run through the batting lineup and take wickets.

“Playing in England has unique challenges every time. However, because the Dukes ball is continually changing, I’m not sure how much it’s doing at the moment. But the fluctuating climate and the weather. And there’s always a challenge when the ball gets soft. Thus, I always look forward to performing in England,” Jasprit Bumrah stated on Michael Clarke’s YouTube channel, Beyond23.

They are playing cricket in a way that I find intriguing because I don’t fully comprehend it. However, as a bowling unit, we are always sure that anyone might run through and take wickets on any given day when the batters are acting extremely aggressively,” Jasprit Bumrah continued.

Any individual finds it difficult to continue playing everything for an extended period of time: Jasprit Bumrah

According to the unconventional pacer, having a long career as a fast bowler is difficult. Bumrah acknowledged that he had been playing at the top level for a considerable amount of time, but he recognised that he would not be able to stay healthy and available for the team indefinitely. As he grew older, he believed it became crucial to play matches carefully.

It goes without saying that it is difficult for any one person to play everything for an extended period of time. I’ve been doing it for a while, but you have to eventually figure out where your body is heading and what the key tournament is. “You need to use your body wisely and selectively,” Bumrah continued in the interview.

The MI pacer stated that he did not seek specific aims and would always like to continue bowling. Since it is all he will remember after his career is over, he stated that he tries to enjoy his game, live in the moment, and make memories.

“As a cricket player, I would always want to keep going and never give up. However, I don’t look at stats or make goals. I’ve never been able to accomplish the goals I’ve set. That’s why I started [playing] this sport, so I simply try to enjoy it. Because that’s all I’ll remember at the end of my [sport] career, take each day as it comes and make memories,” Bumrah said.
