During the third Test, Jasprit Bumrah made a funny jab at the England batsmen, saying, "Ab toh maar hi nahi rahe hai."

On Sunday, February 18, at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, during the third Test, ace Indian quick Jasprit Bumrah made light of the English hitters. Following the impossibly high 557-run target, the Indian bowlers completely overpowered England, winning the third Test by 434 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the five-game series.

In the third Test, Bumrah finished with figures of 2/72, having claimed a wicket in each of the two innings. However, after trailing 28-3 in the last inning, the English batsmen were playing him cautiously. The 30-year-old English batsmen were teasing Joe Root at the crease. It’s interesting to note that he has been harassing Root for the whole of the show.

In a video that went viral, Bumrah was heard saying, “Ab toh maar hi nahi rahe hai (They are not attacking at all).”

In the current series against England, Jasprit Bumrah leads the list of top wicket-takers.

After returning to Test cricket after a year-long absence, Jasprit Bumrah has taken two four-fers and two six-fers while bowling excellently thus far. Jasprit Bumrah is presently leading the wicket-taker in the ongoing series against the England side captained by Ben Stokes with 17 wickets at an average of 13.65, including a best of 6/45 in the second Test at Visakhapatnam. After taking nine wickets in two innings, the 30-year-old was declared Player of the Match for his crucial contribution to India’s 106-run victory in the second Test.

With regard to Test players who have played cricket since World War I and taken over 150 wickets, Bumrah has the highest average. As to the ICC Test bowler rankings, the best bowler in the game’s longest format at the moment is the right-arm fast bowler. With the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 set to take place in the United States and the West Indies, India is now expecting to have him totally well for the competition.
