Speaking about the same, team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid announced the side’s strategy for integrating Jasprit Bumrah gradually into the lineup at first. Jasprit Bumrah had a successful debut in the just finished series against Ireland, according to Dravid, and they now have a full month to gradually integrate him into the team in preparation for the ODI World Cup 2023.
“It’s wonderful to watch Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna bowling brilliantly after their absence.
Since Jasprit hasn’t played much during the last two years, we have really missed him. We’ll gradually acclimate him to it. Ireland provided a nice introduction for him. We now have a full month to prepare for the World Cup. We now have more options for pace bowling thanks to the duo’s return, according to Dravid, who was quoted by NDTV.
The home field advantage in the subcontinent has significantly decreased: Dravid
Rahul Dravid also made note of the fact that, as a result of players competing in numerous domestic competitions worldwide over the past few years, the home advantage for teams from the subcontinent has substantially decreased.
“Over the past 10–12 years, home advantage has significantly decreased across the subcontinent. Particularly for events like the IPL, a lot of people travel here to play. They stay here for two to three months to acclimate. The competition would be close, Dravid predicted.
