WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah bamboozles Travis Head at MCG, quits for duck

Jasprit Bumrah, a bowler for India, used a flawless inswinger to pass Travis Head during the fourth Test match against Australia at the storied Melbourne Cricket Ground. At the MCG, the 30-year-old made a mistake in judgement when he raised his bat, and Bumrah’s inswinger smashed the top of the off stump. Throughout the series, the flashy batsman caused havoc for the visitors. Head was taken by surprise as he left for a duck with seven balls.

India captain Rohit Sharma was criticised for not using Jasprit Bumrah against Head during the series.

At MCG, he avoided the error by introducing the top pacer from India as soon as the Australian arrived, and he produced results almost instantly. The cricketer was given an offensive field by Rohit, which may have contributed to the batter’s inability to open his tally in the middle.

In the third session of the day, Bumrah, who had a difficult morning, made a great recovery. He was disciplined earlier in the day by newcomer Sam Konstas, who slapped him all over the floor. Additionally, he gave up 54 runs in his opening six-over session. Later, he made a good recovery by dismissing Travis Head and Usman Khawaja. He also got rid of Mitchell Marsh, who left for four runs.

Australia gained momentum thanks to the aggressive batting of Konstas at the top order, which the top order took advantage of. Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne each produced half-centuries after the 19-year-old left the pitch with 60 runs. After scoring 57 runs, the southpaw, who was struggling in the series, will give Khawaja the confidence he sorely needed.

In 71 deliveries, Steve Smith reached his half-century while batting at four. At the MCG, it was his sixth half-century, and it came just when the hosts were trying to increase their total and cause problems for India.
