For the three ODIs against England that begin on October 26, Kyle Jamieson will not be playing for New Zealand. During training on Saturday, Kyle left side became stiff. The pacer plans to return to Christchurch for additional evaluation in order to play in the November home series against the West Indies.
On October 18 and 20, Jamieson played in the opening two Twenty20 Internationals against England; however, he was not included in the last match on October 23.
“Kyle experienced some stiffness in his side after bowling today (Saturday) and we didn’t want to take any risks at this stage of the summer,” Rob Walter, the head coach, said. “We felt it was best for him to sit out this one-day series and give himself the best chance of being ready for the West Indies tour which starts on November 5 in Auckland.”
