The eternal James Anderson is ready to unleash

James Anderson stated that as a senior member of the squad, he will be coaching the bowling attack. Legendary England seamer James Anderson recently discussed his part in the series and the difficulties of the impending tour. In any case, taking on the position of a senior figure mentor has been my recent responsibility.

A five-match Test series between India and England will start on January 25 at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Given that both sides will be competing for vital World Test Championship (WTC) points, the series will be very important.

I have an obligation to inform people,” James Anderson reportedly stated, as cited by The Telegraph.

The 41-year-old veteran added that reverse swing will be a major factor in the five-match match, although he left open the chance to start the bowling attack with two spinners.

“Reverse swing will be crucial. Sometimes we may choose not to open with a seamer. We could use two spinners to start. When you enter the field on the third or fourth change with a group of batsmen, your role drastically changes. That’s the difficulty of performing in India,” he continued.

Notably, Anderson was a member of the team that defeated India 2-1 in their final Test series at home in 2012. Throughout the series, the right-arm seamer claimed 12 wickets from seven innings at an average of 30.25, with the best figures coming from 4/81.

In 2021, James Anderson had a successful tour in India.

Anderson had another outstanding series during the team’s most recent tour to India in 2021, taking eight wickets from four innings at an economy of 1.92 and an average of 15.87. With 183 matches played, the 41-year-old has played the second-most Tests in the history of the sport.

With 690 wickets to his credit, he needs 18 more to tie the record held by the great Shane Warne (708 wickets) as the second-highest wicket-taker in Test history. Anderson will be hoping to make history and lead England to a historic series victory.
