James Anderson, an experienced England pacer, is about to play his last international match. The match will be Anderson’s last game as he gets ready for England’s opening Test series against the West Indies on Wednesday, July 10 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Former great West Indies hitter Brian Lara stood up to honour Anderson as he is ready to retire. Anderson bowled one of the greatest deliveries he had ever faced, according to Lara.
Remarkably, Anderson has 700 wickets in his record, with one coming against Brian Lara. At The Oval in 2004, Anderson took the wicket, and Brian Lara stepped out to praise both his career and that delivery.
“One of the best balls I have ever faced was bowled to me by him.” The last English bowler to remove me was him. It was my final Test match against England at the Oval. On BBC Breakfast, Lara stated, “I shaped a little bit of an in-swinger to hit through mid-on, and it hit the pitch and straightened and it took my edge.”

Several events from Anderson’s career were featured in the video that has gone viral on social media, showcasing the honours and accomplishments he has amassed over the course of his career.
James Anderson recently came forth to say that Test cricket is what made him who he is today, in a world where T20 cricket is becoming more and more popular. He shared the numerous lessons he had learned from the longest format.

“I am who I am now because of test cricket. It has helped me learn so much over the years and has strengthened my ability to bounce back from adversity. According to NDTV, Anderson stated, “I think the fulfilment you get from putting in a shift in a day’s cricket is different to anything else you can do in the game.”
