“Shubman Gill did observe the ball and had a start from the non-striker’s end before responding with ‘no’ when the drive was played. It is possible that Gill was considering the speed at which Jaiswal made the shot. “The striker made the call, and he should have backed it up because he had gone a little farther after seeing the ball, and Jaiswal had already gone a long way,” Bangar said in a JioHotstar conversation.
In the red-ball format, Jaiswal was unable to reach his third double-ton due to his run-out.
