In the T20I bowling rankings, a new leader has emerged: Kiwi right-arm pacer Jacob Duffy has surpassed left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein to capture the top spot in the shorter format of the match.
There have been some noteworthy international matches to watch, such as the New Zealand vs. Pakistan series, even if the majority of the game’s biggest stars are playing franchise cricket. In the five-match T20I series that preceded Pakistan’s tour, New Zealand emerged victorious by a final score of 4-1. Duffy was the Kiwis’ star with the ball because of his variations and change of pace, but Tim Seifert won the Player of the Series because he scored the most runs.
In the five games he played, Duffy took 13 wickets at an average of 8.38 and an economy rate of 6.16, making him the series’ top wicket-taker. This was sufficient to surpass Akeal Hosein, who is now lagging behind with 707 points, and take the top spot among T20I bowlers with 723 points. This is a fantastic accomplishment for Duffy, who was left out of the official New Zealand Champions Trophy squad despite his steady white-ball cricket performances.
