Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and India head coach Gautam Gambhir has reportedly received a death threat from an organisation identifying themselves as “ISIS Kashmir.” Gautam Gambhir reported the event to the Delhi Police so that they could act right away.
According to the DCP Central Delhi and the SHO of Rajinder Nagar Police Station, the former two-time Indian Premier League champion has formally requested the filing of a formal complaint in reaction to the threat.
On Tuesday, April 22, Gambhir allegedly received two threats via email, each of which included the subject line “IKillU.” The former India opener received one email in the afternoon and the other in the evening. It is anticipated that Delhi Police will conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate action to guarantee Gambhir and his family members’ safety.
For those who are unaware, Gautam Gambhir has already been threatened in this manner. He received a similar email in November 2021 while he was an MP.
In the meantime, Gambhir denounced the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on his official ‘X’ account, which was once Twitter. He also conveyed his sympathies to the departed souls’ relatives. Gambhir too hoped that India will strike back.
Praying for the families of the deceased. Those responsible for this will pay. India will strike. #Pahalgam

After leading India to victory in the 2025 Champions Trophy last month, Gautam Gambhir is presently on leave.
Following the end of the IPL, he will rejoin the Indian squad. An eagerly awaited five-match Test series against England in the UK is India’s next task. India’s campaign in the 2025–2027 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle will begin with this.
Following consecutive Test series losses to Australia and New Zealand, Rohit Sharma and company were unable to participate in the current cycle’s final. Later this year, they will try to put the past behind them and attack England with all their might.
