The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), like many other state associations, has announced the members of its 16-man team for the first two rounds of the forthcoming Ranji Trophy 2024–25, which begins on October 11.
Star Indian wicketkeeper-battler Ishan Kishan, who did not play for the team in the 2023–24 season, has been appointed captain of the red-ball tournament for the upcoming season. Given that Kishan lost his BCCI central contract last year for failing to participate in domestic cricket during his absence from international series, this may be the ideal chance for him to rejoin the national squad as well.
Along with youthful players like Kumar Kushagra and Virat Singh, Anukul Roy, a Mumbai Indians player in the Indian Premier League, is also included in the squad. Virat has additionally been designated as Kishan’s deputy.
Other noteworthy Jharkhand side members are Aryaman Sen, Utkarsh Singh, Supriyo Chakraborty, and Sharandeep Singh.

Against Assam, Jharkhand, who is ranked in Elite Group D, will play their opening match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. In the first round of the Ranji Trophy, games against Railways, Chandigarh, Saurashtra, and Delhi will come after this match.

Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh will meet Jharkhand in the second phase, with both matches taking place in Jamshedpur.
