IPL2025: The Funniest LSG vs. RCB Memes Midway through Match 70

To secure a berth in Qualifier 1, RCB must meet the enormous 228-run total set by the LSG in Match No. 70 of the 2025 IPL at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Captain Rishabh Pant led LSG’s innings brilliantly despite losing the toss and being asked to bat first. After a tough batting season, Pant eventually settled into a groove in the competition’s final league, hitting an undefeated 118 off just 54 deliveries. Pant dominated the RCB bowlers after entering at No. 3 after Nuwan Thushara had dismissed Matthew Breetzke early.

With just one over from Yash Dayal, the southpaw scored 18 runs to start his heroics. Ten boundaries and six enormous sixes that hit the stands at the magnificent Ekana were part of his innings. After reaching his century in just 54 balls, he celebrated with an old-fashioned cartwheel after hitting a boundary over extra cover.

Pant finished his incredible season with another fifty, his sixth and final of the year, after he and Mitchell Marsh stitched a huge 152-run partnership for the second wicket. The team was in a strong position even though Bhuvneshwar Kumar broke the partnership in the sixteenth over. In the 20 overs they were given, Lucknow concluded at 227/3. Thushara, Kumar, and Romario Shepherd each took a wicket for the RCB.

“To make my debut is a huge honour. We’ll see [for] the next few hours, but the head appears to be good. It was a really nice wicket. There, Thushara was all over Mitch and myself. Nerves are a part of every debut. To be honest, I was ecstatic to receive a game. To be honest, Pant has been incredible. He has been an excellent captain. After the innings, Matthew Breetzke, who made his debut and opened for LSG tonight, stated, “The boys love him.”
