Mitchell Marsh, an all-rounder who has recovered from injuries, is also making his competitive cricket comeback this season. Notably, the LSG cricket player was sidelined for the just finished Champions Trophy after suffering a back injury and malfunctioning during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against India. Though merely as a hitter, the path to his comeback to professional cricket is now open.
With some of the top players in the world competing in the competition, which is scheduled to begin on March 22, the IPL excitement has already started.
The seasoned all-rounder has been cleared to play exclusively as a specialist batter for the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2019 IPL season, as he will not be able to perform his duties with the ball. Marsh will join the team camp in Lucknow on March 18, according to a new development. There, he will also connect with Justin Langer, the former head coach of Australia, who is currently in the LSG setup as the head of the coaching unit, which also includes players like Zaheer Khan.
