Mitchell Marsh’s absence from Saturday, April 12’s match against the Gujarat Titans (GT), who are currently atop the league, at the Ekana Cricket Stadium has dealt the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) a severe setback.
At the Eden Gardens, Lucknow defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by an exciting four runs prior to this match. The Gujarat Titans, meanwhile, have won four straight games. Earlier this week, they defeated the Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs in Ahmedabad.
Update on Toss
After winning the LSG toss, Rishabh Pant asked GT to bat first. He praised the bowlers’ effort and expressed his happiness after winning the last two games. We are going to bowl first. The wicket looks good we want to explore the conditions under the dry sun, that’s why we are bowling first, Happy to win the last two matches. As a team, we talk about the process and the team is responding well now. Bowlers have done a really good job, we have to give credit to them. A lot of times, they bowl hard overs, you got to give them care and love. Just one change. Instead of Mitchell Marsh, Himmat Singh comes in. His daughter is not well, he’s looking after that.
