The Delhi Capitals are ready for their first away IPL 2025 match against Chennai Super Kings, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, following an incredible performance in the previous two games in Visakhapatnam.
Kuldeep Yadav, a left-arm wrist spinner for the Delhi Capitals, stated on the eve of the game that the Chennai Super Kings had some excellent players in their roster. My strategy (against them) is straightforward: I want to take wickets while maintaining a tight grip.
“Length is critical.” What lengths to bowl at is my main concern. Furthermore, I’ve been good at getting the ball to turn, and I want to keep doing that,” he continued.
The Chennai Super Kings, the Delhi Capitals’ opponent, had lost two of their previous three games and won one. Noor Ahmed, his opponent and the competition’s top wicket-taker for now, received accolades from Kuldeep.
“Noor (Ahmed) is attempting to learn from everyone and is bowling pretty well. Last night, we also spoke about bowling leg spin. It’s quite hard for a hitter to read him because of his good pace, especially when you’re playing in Chennai,” he remarked.
“I think a wrist spinner needs to adjust and develop the ability to spin the ball, regardless of whether they bowl with their right or left arm. That’s what I’ve done throughout the years. He went on to discuss the peculiarity of wrist spinners, saying, “Even now, I just look at how I can improve.”
In their most recent game, the 30-year-old claimed his 50th wicket for the Delhi Capitals.
“I grew up watching all videos of Shane Warne over the years, and it helped me learn a lot,” Kuldeep remarked in reference to his success and the impact of the renowned player. One of my seniors at the academy used to bowl leg spin, and I learnt a lot from him as well. There is a lot to learn when you bowl with someone beside you.
On Saturday, April 5, the Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings will square off in the third IPL 2025 encounter at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.
