One of the Gujarat Titans’ standout players this season is bowler Prasidh Krishna, who has taken the most wickets for the team thus far in the IPL 2025. The pacer, who was born in Bengaluru, is vying for the Purple Cap after taking 16 wickets in eight games.
In addition to discussing Ashish Nehra’s contribution to his performances this season, Prasidh has been candid about the people who have assisted him in getting better. He disclosed that he has performed well in the event by following his strategies and bowling according to the circumstances.
“I made sure to put in the necessary hours, had the appropriate discussions with Ashish Nehra, and was very clear about what I wanted to work on.” Prasidh Krishna stated on JioHotstar Press Room, “One thing I’ve learnt from him is to read the conditions, the pitch, and make sure you make the right decisions when you’re at the top of the mark.”
Prasidh Krishna also discussed the value of consistency and maintaining composure as the Gujarat Titans try to earn a postseason spot.
“We’re concentrating on performing as a team because it’s important in every game. No matter how many victories you have, one game can change the momentum. We’re training hard, maintaining our humility, and getting ready for every game.”
My favourite wicket was KL Rahul’s: Prasidh Krishna
Additionally, Prasidh Krishna disclosed that his greatest moment from the league thus far was the dismissal of Delhi Capitals batsman-wicketkeeper KL Rahul.
“All of these factors contribute to your increased self-assurance. I believe that when you’re confident, you want to play as many games as you can and make sure you help your team win. KL Rahul’s wicket was my favourite because I felt a lot of pressure. He remarked, “I was fortunate that the ball swung very late and got someone like KL Rahul.”
Prasidh emphasised the necessity of consistent team performance when discussing how the Gujarat Titans can hold onto their top-two ranking. “We must continue to have fun playing cricket, accept accountability, make wise choices on the pitch, and put in more effort. We’ll stick to that motto for the duration of the season.
