Aakash Chopra gave the Delhi Capitals (DC) and KL Rahul high marks for their performances in IPL 2025 Match 17 versus the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Rahul’s batting position for the remainder of the season for DC was questioned by the well-known commentator. Rahul began the innings and won Player of the Match with a game-winning performance while Faf du Plessis was out.

Aakash Chopra questioned what his role would be upon Faf’s comeback and commended DC for starting the innings with Rahul. The star batter played almost the whole inning and won the POTM award, according to Aakash Chopra. Due to an injury, Du Plessis was unable to participate in the game against CSK.

The entire DC batting order was commended by him for their valuable contributions. The former Indian opener believed that in order to defeat CSK, DC needed to score a respectable total.
“You (CSK) must support Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) and (Ravichandran) Ashwin even though he defeated the spinners. Rahul was stunning. Axar arrived to help and bat up the order. In the end, Tristan Stubbs made some excellent shots, and you managed to get a respectable total,” Chopra said.
Interestingly, Delhi is the only IPL 2025 team still undefeated. In its current campaign, the Delhi-based team has defeated LSG, SRH, and CSK. With elite bowlers and hitters who have all adjusted well, DC seems to be a well-oiled machine. DC appears to be among the title contenders, and even their bench strength appears to be formidable.
