JioStar is putting together the largest IPL yet, so viewers and fans are in for a treat. Less than 24 hours before India’s most popular sporting event turns 18, JioStar announces a never-before-seen presentation featuring more than 25 feeds in 12 languages on digital and linear TV. More than 170 experts, including Indian Premier League champions and World Cup winners from around the globe, are bringing the show to life.
The 18th season will be streamed live across 16 feeds in 12 languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Haryanvi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Punjabi. On TV, JioStar Network will also offer coverage in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada in addition to English.
Along with the language options, JioHotstar’s live streaming will be enhanced by multi-cam feeds, Hangout streams, and a brand-new feed dubbed “Motu Patlu present Super Funday” that is intended for families and young viewers.
“The IPL 2025 lineup we have put together is nothing short of spectacular. This milestone—the 18th season—deserves a celebration, complete with first-of-its-kind innovations, top-tier talent, and a presentation that will bring millions of Indians together. JioStar, a sports spokesperson, stated, “Our efforts will match the energy and excitement that the league brings to the country.”
One of the greatest batsmen in the game and a well-liked person worldwide, Kane Williamson, will make his debut as an IPL specialist and pundit in a never-before-seen role. Up until the previous season, the two-time IPL winner and first New Zealand player to receive the orange cap was a member of the Gujarat Titans.
JioStar’s core offering of giving fans inside access from key members who, until recently, shared the dressing room with top franchisees will be further enhanced with the addition of IPL champion Shane Watson, former Mumbai Indians Head Coach Mark Boucher and his countryman and Royal Challengers Bengaluru icon AB de Villiers, former Punjab Kings mentor Virender Sehwag, former Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan, and former Chennai Super Kings star Suresh Raina.
Shane Watson resumes his IPL career with JioStar after winning championships with the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Across several language channels, the lineup also features former IPL leaders and heroes like Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa, Murali Vijay, and Kedar Jadhav. The Tamil expert panel will include the father-son team of Anirudh Srikkanth and K Srikkanth. The face of the Haryanvi stream will be Manvinder Bisla, who won man of the match in the 2012 IPL Final.
JioStar is developing a touchpoint for second screen participation as part of its ongoing efforts to provide viewers and fans with an immersive experience. If fans miss any important moments while watching the action live on Linear TV, they will have the opportunity to use JioHotstar to scan a QR code and record the moment on their phone.
MaxView, Live Audio Descriptive, and Indian Sign Language will make their IPL debuts on JioHotstar, ensuring that viewers and supporters can enjoy the cricket carnival in their own way and making the viewing experience accessible. JioHotstar’s multi-cam stream will continue to provide viewers the opportunity to watch the IPL from a variety of perspectives, including the return of the popular Hero Cam, Stump Cam, Batter Cam, and Bird’s Eye Cam.
The famous and digitally exclusive Hangout feed will return for the 18th season of the Indian Premier League, along with the recently launched “Motu Patlu present Super Funday.” The popular cartoon characters Motu and Patlu will commentate on the special kids’ broadcast, giving the IPL experience a new, entertaining, and thrilling touch.
With the help of up-and-coming content creators and well-known stand-up comedians like Angad Singh, Kunal Saluja, Sahiba Bali, Inder Sahni, Shubham Shandilya, and Aditya Kulshreshta, among others, the Hangout stream will provide fans with a humorous and eccentric perspective on the league’s ongoing competition. It is anticipated that this channel, which will feature classic IPL action, would increase the league’s viewership by attracting new viewers and non-sports audiences.
IPL legends and leaders, including as MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, and Pat Cummins, are among the players whose content JioStar will curate throughout the 18th season.
