Shortly after the leg-spinner for the Punjab Kings won Player of the Match in Match 31 of the current Indian Premier League, RJ Mahvash shared a touching Instagram story about Yuzvendra Chahal.
At the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, April 15, PBKS defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by an exciting 16 runs, mostly thanks to Chahal’s four-wicket haul (4/28 in four overs).
The social networking site featured a selfie she took with her purported partner. Chahal was wearing his PBKS uniform in the photo, which was taken long before the match. The picture showed the two of them grinning while RJ Mahvash praised the IPL’s top wicket-taker’s extraordinary abilities. Notably, since Chahal’s divorce from his former wife, famed choreographer Dhanashree Verma, the two have been seen together on multiple occasions.
They were successful in defending the lowest-ever IPL total, winning by 16 runs. Chahal’s 4/28, which included 14 dot deliveries overall, was the main driver of an unforgettable victory. Chahal tied Sunil Narine’s record with his most recent effort in the prestigious T20 competition, extending his four-wicket haul total to eight.
Ajinkya Rahane (17 off 17), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (37 off 28), Rinku Singh (2 off 9), and Ramandeep Singh (0 off 1) were all removed by Chahal. In the end, it didn’t matter that he gave up 16 runs in his last over. To record PBKS’ fourth victory of the season, Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen took the opposition’s last two wickets.
In their upcoming games, PBKS will play Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Mullanpur on April 20 and Bengaluru on April 18. They will, incidentally, play KKR in the Eden Gardens on April 26 in what could be an exciting rematch.
