IPL 2025: Ricky Ponting is set to join Punjab Kings

Although neither side has confirmed the situation or issued a comment as of yet, there are numerous rumours circulating that the Kings have recently made contact with the former head coach of the Delhi Capitals (DC) and are focussing on signing a contract shortly.

An attractive contract between the well-liked Punjab Kings of the Indian Premier League and former captain of Australia Ricky Ponting is about to be finalised.

The former world champion from Australia notably worked for Delhi for seven arduous years before opting to leave, citing other obligations in addition to his coaching responsibilities. In2018, the renowned hitter became a member of the IPL team. DC made it to the playoff stages of India’s largest cricket tournament every time they did so since 2019 thanks to his capable leadership.

It is important to note that DC broke the curse of the playoffs in 2020 and played in their first-ever summit match in IPL history.
