Mukesh Kumar, a bowler for the Delhi Capitals, was fined 10% of his match pay for violating the IPL Code of Conduct in the 63rd IPL 2025 match against the Mumbai Indians. At the Wankhede Stadium, where Delhi’s 59-run loss solidified their elimination from postseason contention, the incident took place on Wednesday.
Mukesh Kumar agreed to the punishment given by match referee Daniel Manohar for a Level 1 infraction under Article 2.2, which deals with misusing cricket gear, apparel, ground equipment, fixtures, and fittings while a game is in progress. In the must-win game, Mukesh Kumar gave up 48 runs in his four overs, including a vital 27-run 19th over that pushed MI’s total, making his frustration clear.
