The BCCI has presented the DDCA with the esteemed “Best Pitch and Ground” award for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The award recognised the exceptional work of the Arun Jaitley Stadium grounds crew, who provided excellent playing conditions during the IPL season. The award also recognises outstanding performance in outfield upkeep, pitch condition, and general ground management, which guarantees players a level playing field and an amazing spectator experience.
“This award is a testament to the tireless work of our curators, staff, and management,” said Rohan Jaitley, president of the DDCA, in an expression of thanks. We’re determined to keep cricket infrastructure up to the greatest standards.
“This recognition validates our collective vision of transforming the Arun Jaitley Stadium into a world-class cricket venue,” stated Shikha Kumar, vice president of the DDCA. It is a moment of pride for Delhi cricket.
Honorary Secretary Ashok Sharma went on to say, “A committed crew that works nonstop is the driving force behind every outstanding game. Their professionalism and enthusiasm are reflected in this prize.
“We are very happy to receive this recognition,” said Joint Secretary Amit Grover. It encourages us to keep spending money on improved facilities for both players and spectators.
