RCB defeated Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) congratulated them on their first title victory. Despite their long history of being bitter opponents, CSK wished RCB well in order to share love off the pitch.
In addition, CSK offered PBKS flowers for their valiant efforts. The moment that RCB’s players, coaches, support, and other staff raised the trophy was captured on camera and shared by CSK. “Congratulations on the maiden IPL championship, RCB!” was written alongside lion and heart emojis.
The five-time champions gave the losing team a message of strength throughout difficult times and did not forget them in the final. In their first appearance on the main stage since 2014, they commended the Kings’ efforts to give the eventual champions a hard time in the final.
“Get moving, Kings! You have demonstrated the power of sheer grit! On their official ‘X’ handle, the CSK admin stated, “A big #Whistlepodu for the effort.”

The RCB campaign in the 2025 IPL
In the first game of the season, RCB made a good start to their IPL 2025 campaign by defeating 2024 champions KKR in their home ground. This victory marked the beginning of their winning run on the road. They then defeated CSK in Chennai, the first time they’ve done so since 2008.
At home, RCB fell to clubs like the Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals, and Punjab Kings, but they continued to dominate away locations like Jaipur and Mullanpur. Before the season was temporarily halted for security reasons, RCB defeated RR and CSK, proving they had the formula to win at home.
After losing to SRH in Lucknow, RCB defeated LSG by chasing 227 to go to Qualifier 1. In Qualifier 1, RCB dismissed PBKS for 101 to take a lopsided victory. To win their first IPL championship, RCB defeated PBKS by 6 runs in the final.
