Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, the openers for SRH, responded aggressively and tore apart the PBKS bowling attack. From the beginning, the pair placed pressure on the visitors.
At Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) is developing into an intense run-fest. PBKS, who batted first, amassed an incredible 245 runs in their 20 overs. With a scorching 82 off only 36 deliveries, captain Shreyas Iyer took the lead, and the rest of the batting lineup contributed brilliantly to push the total well over 240.
During the powerplay, Glenn Maxwell was brought on in the fifth over, but he was promptly dismissed after giving up 16 runs in his opening over and 10 and 14 runs in his following two overs, respectively. Marcus Stoinis intervened to defuse a heated argument between fellow Australians Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell, which heightened tensions in the middle.

SRH’s charge persisted in spite of the momentary commotion on the pitch. With 11 fours and seven sixes, Abhishek Sharma wowed the home crowd as he sped to a century and remained undefeated at 107 off just 43 balls.
After hitting 66 off 37 balls, Travis Head was caught by Glenn Maxwell and fell to Yuzvendra Chahal.
With Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma at the crease, SRH held firm at 186 for 1 at the end of 14 overs, requiring 60 runs from the next 6 overs. To the pleasure of Hyderabad, the hosts are on course for their second victory of the 2025 IPL season.
