Prior to the match against MI, Sunil Joshi, the spin bowling coach for PBKS, spoke to the media about Shikhar Dhawan’s injury. According to Joshi, the star batter’s medical team is working on his rehabilitation, and they will keep the management informed if there are any advancements.

Sam Curran, the team’s temporary captain, has the support of the former Indian cricket player. Joshi asserted that Curran performed admirably during the previous season without the seasoned player.

Regarding an update on Shikhar Dhawan, the medical staff will evaluate the circumstances and let us know. He’s in rehab right now,” Joshi stated, as reported by India Today.

“When the Captain isn’t around, Sam Curran has been wearing the hat for us. In the previous season, he also filled in as captain while Dhawan was hurt, and he did a great job leading the team. As a result, we have total faith in him,” Sunil continued.

Following his injury sustained during the match against RR, Sanjay Bangar had stated that Dhawan would be sidelined for seven to ten days. The hitting coach for PBKS confirmed Curran’s position as the team’s temporary captain. PBKS will play MI in Mullanpur in their next encounter. The former Indian spinner thought that the wicket’s characteristics might give the home team a slight advantage.
