“When the Captain isn’t around, Sam Curran has been wearing the hat for us. In the previous season, he also filled in as captain while Dhawan was hurt, and he did a great job leading the team. As a result, we have total faith in him,” Sunil continued.
Following his injury sustained during the match against RR, Sanjay Bangar had stated that Dhawan would be sidelined for seven to ten days. The hitting coach for PBKS confirmed Curran’s position as the team’s temporary captain. PBKS will play MI in Mullanpur in their next encounter. The former Indian spinner thought that the wicket’s characteristics might give the home team a slight advantage.
