IPL 2024: Rajasthan Royals 2nd innings highlights against SRH in Match 50

After surviving an early onslaught from Rajasthan Royals bowlers, the home team Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score 201 from their 20 overs. The toss was won by Pat Cummins, who decided to bat first, with Marco Jansen making his first appearance of the year.

After taking out Anmolpreet Singh and Abhishek Sharma, Avesh Khan and Sandeep Sharma put the hosts in early danger. Then, owing to fifty-score runs from Travis Head and Nitish Reddy, as well as a fast forty-two off of 19 balls, Klassen put the home team back in the game.

50 runs in 4.5 overs for Rajasthan Royals

With the wickets of Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson for no score, Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave the home team a strong start. Then, as they were taking the SRH bowlers to the cleaners, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag began the fight back. Yashasvi Jaiswal was batting on seven when Pat Cummins dropped him, which was wrong.

Powerplay: Mandatory: 60/2, Overs 0.1 to 6, and first strategic time-out

When he struck Bhuvneshwar Kumar for fifteen runs in the third over of the innings, Riyan Parag took the decision to fight fire with fire. Before the powerplay came to a close, the young batter struck T Natarajan for a couple of fours.

Rajasthan Royals: 100 runs from 10 overs

The home team’s bowlers were only happy with their two wickets from the opening over as the visitors tightened their hold on the match. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag both hit boundaries with abandon, seizing the opportunity to score.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, half a century, from thirty balls

Yashasvi Jaiswal appears to have gained confidence after his century against the Mumbai Indians. The youthful Royals opened the 11th over with another IPL fifty when they hit a four off the opening ball of Shahbaz Ahmed’s over.

Half-Century: Riyan Parag from 31 balls

Riyan Parag also reached his half-century in the same way that Yashasvi Jaiswal reached his fifty. The youthful hitter took the lead once with the bat while his team was under duress.

Second Strategic time-out for Rajasthan Royals (132/2 from 13 overs)

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag raised the stakes for Sunrisers Hyderabad, who were scoring runs at will. Perfectly locating the holes, the two young players increased the pressure on Pat Cummins and his group.

150 runs from 14.3 overs for Rajasthan Royals

When Yashasvi Jaiswal attempted to play a scoop shot and was bowled, T Natarajan took the crucial wicket. Within the 15th over, Riyan Parag hit two sixes to continue the run scoring, helping the Royals surpass the 150-mark.

Rajasthan Royals finish the game with 200/7 after 20 overs.

There were wickets falling at regular intervals after Riyan Parag was removed from the game. Rovman Powell made the spectacular turn to reduce the required number of runs from six balls to two with one ball remaining. SRH won the match by a single run, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed the wicket on the final delivery.
