With a remarkable score of 241/7 from their 20 overs, Royal Challengers Bengaluru batted like a squad on a mission. Before Arshdeep Singh ended Virat Kohli’s hopes of scoring a second IPL 2024 century, he amassed an incredible 92 runs.

Before Rajat Patidar got going and quickly reached a fifty, Vidwath Kaverappa had taken two wickets in the opening over. Before being bowled out on the final ball of the first innings, Cameron Green played excellently and reached 46. After taking three wickets in a brilliant last over, Harshal Patel emerged as the IPL 2024 top wicket-taker.

50 runs in 4.1 overs for Punjab Kings

With a boundary to bring Punjab Kings over 100 runs, Rilee Rossouw welcomed Karn Sharma to the bowling crease. The host team reached the century mark one ball sooner than the Royals did during their batting, indicating that they were monitoring the required run rate.

150 runs from 13.3 overs for Punjab Kings

The Punjab Kings continued to lose wickets at regular intervals following the loss of Rilee Rossouw. Sam Curran came on in an attempt to keep Punjab Kings’ hopes alive, but Shashank Singh kept the home team in the match with a couple of powerful shots.

At a critical point in the game, Virat Kohli executed a superb run-out to take out Shashank Singh. Ashutosh Sharma joined Sam Curran, but Mohammed Siraj and Lockie Ferguson removed both batters, ending PBKS’s hopes for an IPL 2024 season.

In a match that was crucial for Sam Curran and his team,. With brutality, Royal Challengers Bengaluru dominated the match. This loss will raise further questions for the home team as another season has eluded them, even though RCB still has ambitions of moving on to the next round.
