IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians 2nd innings highlights against RCB in Match 25
Three fifers and three half-centuries illuminated the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday night. In the opening inning of match 25 of the ongoing IPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru scored 196/8 from 20 overs, thanks to an incredible fifer for his team from Jasprit Bumrah.

Rajat Patidar’s fifty-six-ball innings helped the visiting Bengaluru team reach the total. Before Dinesh Karthik put the icing on top with a scorching 53* off of just 23 balls, Faf Du Plessis reached his 34th IPL half-century.

50 runs in 4.5 overs for the Mumbai Indians

Just 9 runs were scored by the Mumbai Indians in their first two overs, with 197 runs needed to win. Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma threw wide their arms and started dragging the RCB bowlers all over the field.

Half-century off 23 balls for Ishan Kishan

It appeared as though Kishan was letting Dinesh Karthik know that he could do better. With a four off Glenn Maxwell on the 23rd ball he faced, the MI wicketkeeper-batter reached his fifty. He continued to strike boundaries.

Powerplay: Mandatory First Strategic Time-out (72/0) and Overs 0.1 to 6.

Against a potent MI batting lineup, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj gave up 47 runs in their three overs. Taking full advantage of some liberal bowling from the Bengaluru bowlers, Ishan Kishan in particular was really harsh on anything that was wide or short.

100 runs in 8.3 overs for the Mumbai Indians

With Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan taking control, Faf Du Plessis had nowhere to run to. The two Mumbai Indians players were quite aggressive, setting up their squad for a decisive victory.

150 runs from 11.5 overs for the Mumbai Indians

While hitting the opposition bowlers all over Wankhede Stadium, Suryakumar Yadav showed off his renewed strength. To provide some relief for RCB, Will Jacks removed Rohit Sharma for 38 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav: 50 runs in 17 balls

Suryakumar Yadav was a man possessed following his two-ball duck against the Delhi Capitals. With his half-century coming off just 17 balls, the 33-year-old completely destroyed the RCB bowlers.

The match ends with the Mumbai Indians scoring 199/3 after 15.3 overs.

With a massive victory, the Mumbai Indians hitters destroyed the RCB bowling attack. The fact that the goal was reached before the second time-out could be called indicated how vicious the attack was. With seven wickets down and 27 balls remaining, Hardik Pandya smashed a six to score the winning runs.
