Every team is enjoying fan interaction ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024. At one such open event, spectators gathered to watch the Lucknow Super Giants coaching staff dance to Indian song melodies. Some of the fans joined Jonty Rhodes and Justin Langer on stage as they danced to a Daler Mehndi song in Lucknow.
Despite Rhodes’ significant contribution to the LSG coaching staff, Langer took Andy Flower’s place as the team’s head coach for the forthcoming campaign. Having led Western Australia’s Perth Scorchers in the BBL and Australia in the past, the 53-year-old boasts an accomplished coaching resume. The traditional Punjabi song “Haayo Rabba” was played as the fans welcomed him.

LSG expects a strong start with a reorganized coaching staff.
Recently, LSG’s coaching staff was reorganized. For the 17th season of the lucrative league, their crowd-pulsing coach, Gautam Gambhir, departed the team and joined the Kolkata Knight Riders. Assistant coaches Sridharan Srirama and Lance Klusner, fast bowling coach Morne Morkel, and spin bowling coach Pravin Tambe are the other key members of the LSG staff.
The squad from Lucknow will play the Rajasthan Royals in their opening IPL 2024 match. On March 24, Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur will host the game. The Punjab Kings will then visit them on March 30 at Ekana Stadium. The team captained by KL Rahul will next go to Bangalore, his home city, to play Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 2. The team will compete at home against the Gujarat Giants to end the first phase of the IPL and claim dominance.
