IPL 2024 is anticipated to start on March 22. Josh Hazlewood and Mustafizur Rahman are both partially eligible for the competition.

The country's general elections in 2024, which will take place in the summer, have delayed the decision on the IPL 2024 dates.

IPL 2024 is anticipated to start on March 22. Josh Hazlewood and Mustafizur Rahman are both partially eligible for the competition.

With the exception of fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, who will compete in the league starting in the first week of May, the majority of Australian players will be eligible for the IPL, according to a report in Cricbuzz.

nations, including the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), Cricket West Indies (CWI), Cricket South Africa (CSA), New Zealand Cricket (NZC), and Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), have guaranteed the full participation of their players in the IPL 2024 auction. According to the information that is currently available, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will host the 17th edition of the event from March 22 through the end of May.

The country’s general elections are scheduled for the summer of 2024; hence, the precise dates have not yet been decided upon. The timeline will depend on the results of those elections. Although the boards of most of the countries have given their players permission to participate fully, those of Bangladesh, England, Ireland, and Sri Lanka have only granted conditional permission.

With the exception of Josh Hazlewood and the players competing in the Sheffield Shield final, Cricket Australia (CA) has notified BCCI that all of its players will be available for the duration of the competition.

The Indian Premier League may not be the players’ first choice over the Sheffield Shield final, which takes place from March 21 to March 25. Aside from that, all of the players are guaranteed to be available by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), barring injury or international commitments.

Rehan Ahmed, a young wrist spinner, has pulled out of the auction, and the other players’ availability is contingent upon England’s schedule leading up to the T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to take place in the Caribbean and the US from June 4 to June 30.

IPL 2024 won’t have Taskin Ahmed or Shoriful Islam available.

Joshua Little and Mustafizur Rahman have been granted special rights to play; however, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (B) and Cricket Ireland (CI) have announced that their players will be partially unavailable. While Rahman will be available from March 22 to May 11, not much will be available for the entire competition. Taskin Ahmed and Md. Shoriful Islam, who are from Bangladesh, will not be up for auction either.

Moreover, Sri Lanka will play Bangladesh in their second Test match from March 30 to April 3. As a result, several of their players won’t be accessible at that time. But throughout the entire competition, players who don’t play in Tests, such Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, and Dushmantha Chameera, will be visible.
