Heinrich Klaasen kept punishing the RCB bowlers, while Travis Head struck a spectacular century off just 39 balls. SRH finished the innings with a whopping 287/3, the second-highest team total in T20 cricket history.

While chasing the enormous score, RCB appeared to want to emulate Hyderabad. Even though the home side reached their century four balls later than the visitors, they put up a valiant fight. Following his runout at the non-striker’s end, Will Jacks was run out for 7.

Pat Cummins turned things around for his team after a brilliant start. The captain of the SRH took two wickets in two balls, effectively winning the match for his team.

While Dinesh Karthik tried his hardest to hold back, runs kept coming but the needed rate kept rising. The 38-year-old hit the highest-ever IPL six this season, reaching 108 metres off T. Natarajan.

Following the second time-out, the Sunrisers Hyderabad hitters increased their pace and nothing could stop them. Aiden Markram and Abdul Samad extended the score past 250 runs after Heinrich Klaasen was dismissed for 67 runs off 31 balls.
Royal Challengers Bangalore ended the match with a score of 262/7 after 20 overs.
With 83 runs, Dinesh Karthik scored the most runs for the home team with an incredible knock. Even so, RCB lost their sixth straight game despite the veteran’s impressive performance. Now that they’ve lost, their hopes of finishing in the top four are seriously cast off. Sunrisers Hyderabad, who now sit third in the league, won by a margin of 25 runs.
