Mayank Yadav, the breakout star for the Delhi Capitals, had a little setback due to an injury that required attention, thus the 26-year-old Arshad Khan was substituted in. According to reports, Mayank may miss the next several games for the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024’s Match 26.
Despite not having played in a first-class match, the Madhya Pradesh left-arm bowler has eight List A matches under his belt and has taken 11 wickets in those contests. Additionally, he competed for his state in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he gained valuable experience.
Prior to the 2022 Indian Premier League, the Mumbai Indians acquired him for his basic price of INR 20 lakh; however, he was sidelined for the entire season due to an injury. He didn’t play in a single game, but MI kept him around for the next campaign. Jofra Archer was out after a few games and Jasprit Bumrah had a back problem, thus Arshad got his chance to play for MI for six games and take five wickets. But in the games he participated in, his economy was 13.41.

He didn’t have the same impact with the ball as he did with the bat, giving up 28 runs in three overs without taking a wicket. Since Mayank Yadav is out of commission owing to injury, Arshad will undoubtedly get more chances to show off his skills in the IPL.
