The roster of all participants for the next auction has been made public as of late. All eyes will be on Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena as the IPL 2024 mini-auction draws near on December 19. There, 333 cricket players—214 Indian and 119 foreign players (along with two from associate nations)—will be up for grabs. These provide a varied variety for team franchises: 116 are capped players, 215 are uncapped, and 2 are from associate nations.
The auction looks intriguing, with 77 places available, 30 of which are for players from outside the country. There are 23 players in the running, with a maximum reserve price of INR 2 crore, and 13 players with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. The cricketing community is looking forward to the auction’s result and the commencement of the IPL 2024 season on March 23. The auction will take place from 1 p.m. local time in Dubai to 2:30 p.m. IST and run until May 29, 2024.
Ahead of the auction, every team will want to add players to bolster their rosters. Prominent figures with base prices set at two crores, like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, Gerald Coetzee, Travis Head, Rilee Rossouw, Harry Brook, and Umesh Yadav, are anticipated to be in great demand at the auction. The largest deal in history between the Gujarat Giants (GG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) took place just prior to the IPL 2024 auction. MI acquired Hardik again for the following IPL season. With all transactions between Mumbai and Gujarat becoming cash-only, Pandya, 30, would receive a salary of Rs 15 crore at MI. Additionally, Pandya will receive 50% of the MI-given unreported transfer to GT.
