He was hitting the ball cleanly and timing them so beautifully that, in the end, it’s a funny game. You just have to accept it and move on. In the post-match presentation, Iyer remarked, “You know that at this point in the game you are bowling your best deliveries, a little bit hit or miss and you are sent out of the ground. It’s good that it happened now rather than in the later stages of the tournament; good learning for us.”

Ultimately, it was an amazing match, with a few close overs, but overall, I’m very happy for the boys,” Iyer continued.
