South Africa was defeated by India thanks in part to Jasprit Bumrah
At one stage in the game, South Africa came out to chase down a goal of 177 runs and came extremely close to reaching it. At one point, the game was one run per ball thanks to Heinrich Klaasen’s heroics. But the contest took a drastic swing when Bumrah was given the 18th over to bowl.
By benching Marco Jansen, Bumrah applied pressure to the Proteas and ultimately contributed to India’s victory.
