Watch: India Women management provides fielding medal after whitewashing Ireland

After destroying Ireland women at home in the three-match ODI series, India women are back to their best. In Rajkot, the Niranjan Shah Stadium hosted all three games. They won the first ODI by six wickets, the second by 116 runs, and the third by a tonne of runs, posting the fourth-highest ODI total ever.

They defeated the tourists by an overwhelming 304 runs thanks to a brilliant bowling display, recording the largest victory margin in ODI history. India had a different strategy than Ireland, who were careless in the field and had a lot of wasted opportunities due to their poor fielding. Jemimah Rodrigues performed the honours, and Deepti Sharma was given the traditional fielding medal at the conclusion of the series.

I’m so happy that the girls had a fantastic time playing games: Smriti Mandhana.

The newcomer Pratika Rawal dominated the run chart when it came to the performance of the Indian women. She amassed 310 runs with a remarkable strike rate of 108.39 and an average of 103.33 in three games. Bowling well, Deepti took seven wickets at an average of 15 in three games while giving up only 105 runs in over 180 deliveries.

One of the series’ positive aspects is that I’m happy that every girl had a good time playing the game. It is more important to go out there and score runs than it is to do it in the nets. The batters have had some excellent 100s and 50s. In addition to the bowlers’ excellent execution of their plans, I’m thrilled for them. Winning the toss and going to bat and scoring 400+ is a rather nice accomplishment; it was definitely close to a perfect game. “I told the bowlers to bowl them out in the 31st over, and they did that,” Smriti Mandhana stated following the match.
