Reports say that India will play matches between its own teams before the WTC final against Australia

The Asian giants won’t be able to play a practice match before the top match, according to the latest news.

Before their much-anticipated match against Australia in the World Test Championship final next month, the India team will play a match against itself.  This is because many of their players are busy with the Indian Premier League 2023.

Rohit Sharma’s team will go up against a strong Australian team to show that they are still the best in red-ball cricket after losing to New Zealand last time. But the Test team won’t get a warm-up game because many Indian players are busy with the 16th season of the IPL, which is going on right now.

Since the India team players will arrive in England at different times, there may be a match between them. Due to the outbreak, the Indian team played a practice game against itself at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton before their WTC final against New Zealand in 2021.

According to Cricbuzz, the team management is thinking about having intra-squad games because they are taking a big group of players to England, which includes three reserve players and net bowlers in addition to the main 15-man squad. The full-strength team, though, won’t be ready until June 1.

The Indian players will go to England in groups.

Several Indian players who are part of the team that will play Australia are going to England in groups, even though their own teams aren’t in the playoffs. Indian all-rounders Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur are among the first group of players to go to England after their IPL teams were eliminated.

While veteran Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara is playing in county cricket, Rohit Sharma will lead the Mumbai Indians against the Lucknow Super Giants in an important Eliminator match.
