Real-time scorecard, news, memes, injuries, and other updates are available for India vs. South Africa, match 37 of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

India and South Africa will face off in the 37th game of the major tournament at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, in a titanic duel that promises to be an epic battle of Goliaths in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. After crushing Sri Lanka by an astounding 302 runs, India soared to the top of the points table, demonstrating their dominance. With this decisive win, they achieved their seventh straight victory and became the first team to guarantee a position in the World Cup semifinals.

Simultaneously, South Africa secured the second position in the points standings with a dominant total of 12 points. Their ability to bat has been exceptional, completely dominating their opponents. The Proteas are ready to give India their toughest domestic test yet. It’s developing into a cricket match that looks to be an incredible drama with lots of fireworks.

The Indian fast bowlers put on a spectacular show, limiting Sri Lanka to a meager 55 runs, which ultimately led to their doom. The Indian bowling team has been a constant force in the competition and currently looks almost unbeatable. The pace arsenal has been strengthened even more with the addition of Mohammed Shami. With an incredible 14 wickets in just three games, an incredible average of 6.71, and an economical 4.27, Shami’s effect has been nothing short of phenomenal.

South Africa stage a cyclops position in front of the Herculean Indian Bowling, holding a bat.

South Africa claimed their sixth victory, coming off a commanding 190-run victory over New Zealand in Pune. All they need to do to secure a semi-final berth is secure one more victory. However, they have a solid chance to progress even if they lose this upcoming game because of their impressive net run rate of 2.290 and their current 12-point lead.

South Africa’s hitters have been the architects of their supremacy in this World Cup. The Proteas have astonishingly crossed the 300-run threshold five times in their seven games. The opener, Quinton de Kock, has been on an incredible quest and is leading this powerful push. With 545 runs in just 7 innings at an astounding average of 77.85, De Kock is currently the tournament’s leading scorer.
