India vs Australia, England: Tickets Completely Sold Out

The 2025 Women’s World Cup matches between India and Australia and England are officially sold out. Australia and England are scheduled to play one other on October 12 in Visakhapatnam and October 19 in England, respectively, as the co-hosts of the major event.

In all, fans have bought 15,087 tickets for the match against Australia and 17,859 for the match versus England. As a result, the two competitions will be quite crowded. As of Thursday, October 9, the figures are accurate.

22,483 people attended the season-opening match between India and Sri Lanka at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, setting a new record for the most people ever to see a group-stage match at a Women’s ICC event.

At the 2024 T20 World Cup in Dubai, when India faced their bitter rivals Pakistan, the previous high was 15,935.

Ninety percent of the tickets for India’s October 23 match against New Zealand have already been sold out, while eighty-two percent have been reserved for the October 26 match against Bangladesh.

The “world’s best athletes” should have stadiums “full of energy and enthusiasm,” according to ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta, who praised the turnout.

We see this World Cup as a chance to strengthen the bond between women’s athletics supporters and the sport. Because we think that stadiums should be a hive of activity for the world’s top athletes, we decided to make tickets affordable, with prices starting at just INR 100. In addition to the early sell-outs in Vizag and Indore, the Guwahati turnout demonstrates the progress and potential of the women’s game. “From record prize money to historic initiatives, we are dedicated to building on this momentum to ensure the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 leaves a legacy that is truly global and lasting,” the ICC website cited Gupta as saying.
