Without a multi-format scoring system for the India tour, Alyssa Healy expressed astonishment.

"I believe it makes sense to separate them all and kind of celebrate your victories along the way. That seems like a good idea, Alyssa Healy said.

Without a multi-format scoring system for the India tour, Alyssa Healy expressed astonishment.

Beginning on December 21, Australia’s women will play India in a multi-format series. Three ODIs, three T20Is, and one special Test matchup between the two teams are scheduled. Australia women’s captain Alyssa Healy expressed her astonishment that the series will have an overall champion and would not use a point system to play.

This Test match, which Australia will play in India for the first time since 1984, will take place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. In contrast to the series in 2021, the forthcoming multi-format series won’t use a point system and won’t have a final winner.

“Yes or no, I believe there is worth and validity in keeping them all apart and sort of celebrating your victories along the way. I think that’s a good idea, but on the other hand, we’ve played in a few multi-format series where the points system has been used, and I think that’s given the Test match in particular a bigger context,” Alyssa Healy was cited by Cricket.com.au.

I would have assumed that India would have stood by itself under domestic circumstances. Alyssa Healy

Alyssa Healy went on to elaborate on the system, saying that she believed the Indian team would have backed themselves given the circumstances back home. Still, she added, it may be fun to compete for various awards during the multi-format series.

It did surprise me a little bit because, although this may sound a little cocky, I would have assumed that India would have backed themselves in their home conditions and gotten off to a four-nil start. It will be exciting to compete for three different trophies, though, Healy added.

It would be intriguing to watch how the foreign players perform in the Indian circumstances and how Harmanpreet Kaur plans to attack the Australians in the series, which is quickly approaching.
