A three-match Test series between India and New Zealand is scheduled to begin in Bengaluru on October 16. They just defeated Bangladesh 2-0 at home, and they will bring that confidence to another crucial home series that is crucial to the current World Test Championship (WTC).
Head coach Gautam Gambhir discussed the kind of cricket the squad wants to play in Test matches before of the crucial series. The Rohit Sharma-led team played hard in Chennai and Kanpur during the most recent Test match against Bangladesh, particularly in the second game where the hosts prevailed despite almost three days being wiped out. Regarding that, Gambhir said they want to develop into a team that can bat out for two days if necessary and score 400 runs in a single day.
“We want to be a team that can bat for two days and score 400 runs in a day.” And that’s known as test cricket, progress, and adaptation. It is not growth if you play the same manner. In the pre-match press conference, Gambhir stated, “It is not like if we are in that situation and we have to play two days to draw then we have those individuals in the dressing room that can do two days batting.”

They want to play their natural cricket style and be an aggressive team, the head coach continued. He explained that although the world of cricket may be changing, the Indian squad is unfazed by this and will support itself in any circumstance.
I am unable to discuss world cricket because each team has its own philosophy and style of play. I can speak about my squad because we have players who can bat for two days to draw and someone who can score 400 runs in a day.
