India ranks first in all formats.
The India team has surpassed Australia in the most recent ICC Test team rankings and is now ranked first in all formats.

The Men in Blue have been at the top of the T20I standings for several months and have lately ascended to the top of the ODI rankings as well. Their most recent Test victory against Australia in Nagpur propelled them to the top of the rankings with 115 points, four points more than Australia.

In spite of failing to reach the finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 and Asia Cup 2022, the Indian squad dominated the T20I standings before 2023. India is undefeated in all forms thus far in 2023, having won ODI and T20I series at home against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. After their 3-0 series victory at home last month, they dethroned New Zealand in the ICC ODI rankings and now maintain a two-point advantage over Australia.

In the first Test of the four-match series, India defeated Australia by an innings and 132 runs in their first Test of 2023. India and Australia are also competing for a spot in the World Test Championship final, with a Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 series victory playing a pivotal part.

England is ranked third in the ICC Test team rankings, while New Zealand is positioned fourth with 100 points. Both England and New Zealand are slated to play a two-match Test series at Mount Maunganui beginning on February 16.

After winning a significant victory in the first Test in Nagpur, the Indian team enters the second Test in Delhi as the favourite on February 17. Shreyas Iyer has rejoined the Indian side for the second Test after missing the first match due to a delay in his recovery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Matthew Kuhnemann has replaced Mitchell Swepson as Australia’s left-arm spinner for the Delhi Test, as Swepson has returned home to attend the birth of his first child.
