Before the much-awaited World Test Championship 2021–23 (WTC) final, a few members of Team India used one word to describe their captain, Rohit Sharma. Australia and India are two of the most bitter foes in cricket. On June 7, they will play a one-off test at the Oval in London for the prized mace.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) asked some of the Indian red-ball team members to say one word about Rohit Sharma in a video that they posted. Even though most people seemed to think of the skipper as a “hitman,” a few people had different ideas about how calm he was.

“Relaxed,” as Srikar Bharat put it.

“Puller,” said Mohammed Siraj.

“Hitman,” by Mohammed Shami, Shubman Gill, and others.

“He’s the most skilled player, and I think he’s done a great job even as captain. Cheteshwar Pujara said, “He stays very calm under pressure.”

“Class,” said Ravichandran Ashwin, an experienced spinner.

“In the Bambaiya language, I would call him “Bantai.” He’s always happy-go-lucky, and you can always expect a joke or a tap on the head. He’s a funny person. Shardul Thakur said, “I’ve known him since I was a child.”

He knew why Rohit was so highly rated: Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli, a former India captain and partner who has spent a lot of time with Rohit, praised Rohit’s work for the Men in Blue in white-ball cricket. He also praised Rohit’s results with the red ball over the last 3–4 years, which showed his skill in the longest format.

“I’ve always said that he has more time on the ball than anyone else, and that was his special skill from the start.” “When I first saw him play, I knew what all the fuss was about and why he was so highly rated,” Kohli said in a video posted by the ICC on their website.

“And we all knew what he had done for India in what-ball cricket for a long time! But the way he has played red-ball cricket over the past three or four years shows that he is ready to play Test cricket at the top level,” he said.
