It is India’s duty to make the most of the advantages they have over other countries in the Champions Trophy. At a press conference on Thursday, Rassie van der Dussen said.
India has been doing well in the Champions Trophy, which is still going on. They will play New Zealand on March 2 after winning both of their games against Pakistan and Bangladesh.
“If you can stay in one place, stay in one hotel, practise in the same facilities, play in the same stadium, on the same pitches every time, it’s definitely an advantage,” Rassie van der Dussen stated.
“You don’t need to be an expert to understand it, in my opinion. They would be responsible for making use of that advantage. The fact that whomever is going to play them in the semifinals or even the championship game would travel there and that the conditions will be unfamiliar to [India] makes them feel more pressured in a way.”
“The pressure would be on them to get it right because they have all that knowledge.”
Unlike the other seven teams competing in the event, India has not had to travel to play its matches. They have beaten Bangladesh and Pakistan in Dubai, where they will play New Zealand on Sunday. With their two wins, the Indians have already secured a spot in the playoffs. That game will also take place in Dubai. The same is true if India is engaged.

The unequal scenario results from the BCCI’s refusal to send its players to Pakistan because of political and security concerns. Allowing India to establish a base in a neutral area for the duration of their competition was a crucial concession. Without that, they may have pulled out of the competition.
Rassie van der Dussen remarked, “It’s a strange situation,” “I said to someone during training today that we haven’t played in almost a week. We’re not playing, even if it seems like everyone else is.
“There are a lot of training sessions. What’s going on today? One more training session. Tomorrow is our next session, which is most likely going to be optional.
However, that is the reality. The encounter [versus the Australians] would have been fantastic. Despite the absence of their three key bowlers—Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood—they are performing admirably.
