"What we have learned from this, we can apply it to the World Cup," Harmanpreet Kaur said after India easily defeated Bangladesh in the T20I series
Over the course of twelve days, from April 28 to May 9, five Twenty20 Internationals between Bangladeshi women and Indian women were played. In each match, the hosts were clearly superior to the visitors, winning all five matches in the series.

India Women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur finished third in the series with 105 runs in her four innings of play. She was not required in the second Twenty20 International, as bad weather during the run-chase gave India a 19-run victory via the DLS method.

When Harmanpreet thought back on the impressive performance, she was confident that the recently finished series would give the unit a lot more faith and belief. She was optimistic that her team will apply all the lessons learned during the series to the massive event, which is the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Bangladesh in the month of October later this year. In addition, she said that they’ve been working hard to improve, and considering how much flair they have, she hoped that her squad will put in their best effort.

“We will undoubtedly gain a lot of confidence from this event; playing in the conditions will undoubtedly aid us. Everything we have learned thus far can be applied to the World Cup. On that, we are putting in a lot of effort. We should be able to do everything we can at the World Cup. I think we play our best cricket when we play like we know we can,” Harmanpreet said, according to ESPNcricinfo.

The WPL greatly increased our players’ confidence. Harmanpreet Kaur

The WPL, according to Harmanpreet, was a major factor in giving her team’s members a platform to express themselves and hone their skills, which was evident in the Bangladesh series context. All 16 members of the squad were chosen for the competition after participating in the Women’s Premier League 2024, with the majority of them having had career-enhancing performances. She was confident that if she trusted the process and followed instructions, good things would unquestionably happen.

“Our players gained a lot of confidence from the WPL because of the way several of us played there. Since then, we have progressed, and those performances are paying off here. Harmanpreet said, “All we have to do is keep doing the right things, and the results will come.”
