In cricket, there have been many comeback tales that have garnered attention. Karun Nair is one player who has been doing the same lately. The white-ball captain for Vidarbha has been enjoying a fantastic domestic season thus far, and the selectors were even taking notice of him following his outstanding performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, when he also guided Vidarbha to the finals for the first time.
In addition to becoming the tournament’s top run scorer, Karun Nair amassed 779 runs at an average of 389.50, including five hundreds and one half-century. As a result, several players discussed the likelihood of his playing in the Champions Trophy; however, the batter from Jodhpur was left out of the squad.

“I still want to play for India in Test cricket. In numerous interviews, I’ve stated this. Sincerely, that was all I could think about. “I feel incredibly thankful for it,” Nair continued, “since I never even imagined that I would be recognized or considered for the Champions Trophy squad.
In the Ranji Trophy, Nair is presently playing for Vidarbha, a squad captained by Akshay Wadkar and is leading Group C in points. Thus far in the tournament, Nair has participated in six games and amassed 335 runs at an average of 37.22. His red-ball tournament totals include one hundred and one half-century.
