ICC updates Pakistan team hotel in New York moving five minutes from stadium
June 9 and June 11 will see Pakistan play two of their Group A matches at the Nassau International Cricket Stadium in New York. The freshly constructed stadium is approximately five minutes away from the new hotel that Babar Azam and company are supposedly assigned to.

Pakistan was originally given a hotel that was 90 minutes away from the venue by the International Cricket Council (ICC). To make travel easier, the organisers changed the hotel after Mohsin Naqvi, the head of the PCB, filed an official complaint over the lengthy commute.

The Times of India reports that the site is only five minutes away from Pakistan’s new hotel. The stadium listed above is ten minutes away from India’s hotel in New York, which is a noteworthy fact.

On Sunday, June 9, PAK will play India, their fiercest rivals, in a stadium with a capacity of 34,000 in New York. On June 9, the Men in Green will play Canada again at this lovely location.

The Sri Lankan team also voiced their dissatisfaction with the length of time it took to get from the hotel to the location. The Lankan Lions reportedly had a more than hour-long journey from their hotel to the stadium. At present, the Pakistani team is in Dallas, where they will play on Thursday, June 6, at Grand Prairie Stadium against the co-hosts, the United States.

In T20 cricket, Pakistan’s recent performance has been lacklustre. In April, they drew 2-2 in a five-match series after failing to defeat a weak New Zealand team. Last month, Pakistan lost the opening Twenty20 International against Ireland. However, they won the next two matches to win the series 2-1. Babar’s team lost 0-2 and didn’t win a single game in their most recent series against the reigning champions, England.

Pakistan will be aware that defeating India would offer them the confidence they need to advance to a second T20 World Cup victory, which would equal the record.
